Site Changes

The last 12 months have seen my day job having to take primacy over badges, but over the next few months I am hoping to get the site back up to a more useful level of content. Recently I have seen a lot of the graphics produced for this project leaking out as commercial items or used for purposes outside the research and educational purposes for which I produce them. RAF Badges are Crown Copyright and subject to strict licence requirements by the Ministry of Defence. Misuse of the badges will, rightly, lead to my not being able to share them with the public as a resource. I do not want to lower the quality of the artwork in order to protect against people copying the badges so, instead I will now publish RAF badges as virtual Mess Shield Plaques. This will hopefully make the images a little more of a nuisance to simply download and create commercial items.

I will continue to make the raw vector badges available to units, Service Associations or other organisations that might have a legitimate use requirement over an RAF badge.
